After the nice day has gone up in flames (literally) during the Plains Biome Event .
Squint took some time out after he saw Vetru, and was wandering around the plains and watching all the other eks when the alarm was raised.

Search Party
The darkness and flames brought back half remembered feelings of terror and pain and the Raven shrieked above him in answer to the cracks of lightning.
The fear bubbled inside him, seeping into the ground and rooting him in place. All around him the others moved, urging the animals to safety and helping each other.
Squint looked thought the dancing flames and up into the piercing eyes of whatever had started this.
Death stared back at him.
