Frankly, I find it sadly ironic that a broken heart is such a common and frequent occurrence, that its images could even be considered as something one encounters every day.And fine, I confess, it was fun to paint the stars

I find this both lovely and sad. Also, it's as if the blood from the heart just ending down the gutter accounts for how common this all seems to be, indeed.

With all honesty, when I was creating it I was making fun of that poor little fella (I mean, yes Hearts are sometimes broken, but life still goes on, and brings a lot of fun things). I don't know if my mood was transfered to the picture.
