An acrylic on paper... I'd been wanting to paint this idea for a while, a mermaid who has dressed herself in a pirate flag, because in my imagination, mermaids only wear things that they find, rather than actually making anything themselves. But when I finally got around to painting it I rushed it a bit. I still kinda like it, but it's not how I imagined the artwork to be.Related content

This artwork is gorgeous. The lighting and everything. And I absolutely love the idea of mermaids making use of whatever they find.... Especially this one. ^o^
Also, I have to say, her tail is magnificent.
Yeah, I am a fantasy freak, but I am a freak who's trying to make her dreams come alive through writing... And so every now and then, some realism must slip through. ^___^;; I like a healthy dose of each... but as little of the latter as possible! ;3 This is fantasy, after all. I'm really nit-picky about the size and shape of dragon wings, mermaid tail-fins, and naga snake-bodies....

One of the best mermaids I've ever seen. She trully looks dangerous. Love the warm red tones in this and the sun shining through the clouds. I've admired your watercolors for some time, but these new acrylics are simply fantastic!

Wow, I wanted to put something intelligent and worthy of saying in this box but I can't even think of what to say. It's beautiful... it's like you jumped in my head, picked out my favorite things and combined them on paper. I love pirates, orange, red and black are my favorite colors, she even has blue eyes and long brown hair like me. *sigh* I dunno what to say except great job, and
