Beautiful!
Too bad there aren't very many of those windmills left here in Holland
But still, great shot!

Its amazing how much a simple border can do to an image. I love the diffused light casting a slightly eerie fog against the windmill. The sepiatone is definitely a good choice - it really captures the olde-worlde feel of the windmill and the rural area. I also love how the image has a soft blend from dark to light, from the bottom to the top of the image. Again this creates a much more peaceful tone overall. Very well done, again

thanks men!
btw, i didn't adjust the colors in this one, it was just in the early morning and even the sun was a bit sleepy. So that created this almost sepia-tone!

its got a surreal quality to it. very nice.
it always comes down to a matter of lighting defining a picture doesnt it?

The fog and angle are what make this picture truely fantastic. The sunlight just bleeds though the mist to the camera, creating a dreamy soft focus around the old windmill.

very nice capture, although it could use some darkening in my opinion to give the image a little more dynamics and "kick"

crootster [2004-11-26 05:10:19 +0000 UTC]

wow i love the dream like quality which someone has already touched on
the sepia browny colour give it a really olden day effect

like someone said previously i can imagine this on a postcard

maybe its just me (in which case ignore) but i think without the white line going into the sky may make the design more centred and interesting just a though

but none the less a beautiful piece very nicely captured

And i'll check it out how to get the images smaller. I guess photoshop can help me with that.. It is too big indeed if you look it at full size.

You can edit the deviation without deleting it. You can up load a new picture over your old one.

There's an edit button on the toolbar...it's the third button, right after the little magnifying glass thing.
