you use so many mediums.
how do you know WHAT to use WHEN?
do you have some sort of system?
use one medium for a base or under painting.
then lay down another layer of something else.
then use another for the bulk of the work.
later use another for finishing???
i mean,...that's mind boggling!

Most of my images start off as a gestural sketch with pencil, pastel,or charcoal. Then I begin applying acrylic medium and paint. The method of paint application is a back and forth process of adding highlights (usually a white), shadows and glazes of color until I reach the desired effect or am pleased with the way the image looks.
So, yes, many layers of dry media and glazes of color. I will make a time lapse video but things have been busy.
