Description I spent a lot of time with military members, visited many of the memorials in Washington D.C. and have participated in numerous funerals at Arlington Cemetery while stationed in D.C. Recently a friend of mine asked that a do a rubbing of a coworker’s brother’s headstone at Arlington ...I was deeply saddened and overwhelmed by the numbers of new graves and accompanying mourners throughout the cemetery...this was the inspiration for this piece.

Thanks so much...I really like this one. I used an electric rotary tool to make most of the marks.

I really like your pencil work - really impressive!

This is absolutely incredible work. The contrasting, line work, imagery as a whole is amazing.
I appreciate you doing this, as i'm a veteran of the Army. You have done a wonderful tribute to him, with magnificent technical skill.

Thank you for the kind comment -

I checked out some of your gallery and really liked the "Landscape of Gunnison" [link] (Great use of colors and perspective...) the "Tattooed Mermaid" [link] (a favorite of my daughters), and "Recline" [link] (I like this one alot! The lines, the flow of the blanket, and the highlights on the spine...very cool.)

I'm impressed with this. The grey tones, especially on the skin, seem very detailed.
