Description "Stan" - this color version is a collaboration between Elmo Thamm and myself. Elmo screenprints the color to create complex hues that compliment and create a wide range of textures. The woodblock is printed on top of the screenprint.

Mate, I'm REALLY jealous.

I tried to do something like this while I was at Uni, and I never quite managed it. Never occurred to me to combine woodcut with screen print - its absolutely BRILLIANT!

The really neat effect (discovered by accident) is when you print with oil based block printing ink over the acryllic screenprint it leaves a satin finish - where the block print is over paper it leaves a matte finish - so you get tones within the blacks...really cool in person.
