This wasn't intended to be a Halloween picture, but I got it done just now, so here we are.

This year's Haruhi Suzumiya pictiure. Yeah, I'll keep going with this trend for as long as I can!
... well, techically, I've missed 2014 already, but let's forget about that.

I wanted to draw Yuki Nagato as Hata no Kokoro for a while now, as both are characters who cannot express emotions (one because she's a menreiki who relies on her masks for that, the other because she's a humanoid interface who isn't designed to have emotions). So I decided to just throw in Ryouko Asakura as well, her dressed as Koishi Komeiji, since Asakura is the same kind of being that Nagato is, but designed in a way that, while she lacks actual emotions as much as Nagato (if not even more so), she is designed to appear like a bright and chipper girl. In the meantime, Koishi lacks a proper conscience, thus, all of her emotions are written on her face, which tends to be rather cheerful as well.

What I'm saying is, the theme of emotions is strong with all parties involved here.

Also, Nagato and Asakura are enemies, just as Kokoro and Koishi are rivals, so this fit pretty well in my opinion.

So yeah, have Asakura perform an occult attack on Nagato. This clearly won't end badly, I assure you.

On a more technical side, I practiced some more low angle shots. I think it worked out pretty well for Asakura, though it could look a bit better on Nagato. Eh. Next time.
