Description
The background was done with Vue, the foreground was Daz, imported into Maya, and rendered with mental ray. I put them together in 'Shop.Download to see the hi-res original (2560x1600).

Thanks! Lately I've been trying to outdo myself with every new image. Probably a goal that isn't actually sustainable, but it makes for a worthy challenge nonetheless.
Always pushing myself to be better can be pretty rough (and sometimes pretty disappointing), especially since most of the time I feel like I am floundering, just trying to get my footing.

I look at a lot of the more popular stuff (you know, the guys that have 10,000 pageviews a day, or so) and see all the comments and figure my comments there don't do any good.
However, your stuff is just as impressive in its own way (I know and appreciate the process of learning new tools and pushing yourself

Thanks! The whole "art" thing is something I've really been trying to do more of lately. I've been thinking a lot more about composition, color, etc when I make these new pieces, instead of just models and textures and lighting.
As for the girl, I think she just wants to explore - to see the beautiful things that are out there, to wander through forests, across rivers, explore ruins - from dawn until dusk.
Wanderlust is a loanword from German to English that designates a strong desire for or impulse to wander, or, in modern usage, to travel and to explore the world (from wikipedia).

Beautiful work! The nice thing about this is that it's not just 3d, it's a work of high artistic value. That's something most 3d artists find difficult (me included).
