DescriptionThis is a sketch commission that I completed for Shauni777 of her character Shauni. This sketch commission was mostly intended to help with character design, hence the sort of boring pose/composition and lack of a wing in the background. It was really exciting to get to draw my own interpretation of the description and reference images that Shauni gave me for her character. I particularly enjoy this type of commisison!DetailsMaterials.

This is so lovely, bah. Those wingsssss, your feathers are always to die for. I really also love how you've shown that the shirt stitches together at the side show it can actually be worn, with the wings and all. A lot of people don't consider how the hell you'd slide clothes over those things. I also really love that tail, how interesting o3o

Gosh thank you so much for the compliments beb!! Seeing clothes that dont work with wings (or other things like horns) really bother me too, so it was fun to bring a functional aspect to this character. And since I was thinking about going for this type of anatomy with my characters, it really inspires me to work a bit more in that direction xD

Hnng! I'm really going to try to work on the different. . . things that I draw? I can't think of a way to describe it, but considering how much time went into this drawing, this should really be considered a pencil lineart and I'm never going to get 'good' at sketching if I don't stop considering this type of thing a sketch. ;o;
I'm glad you like it though; I'm really pleased with the outcome! Now I just need to clean my scanner bed so I can get rid of all that scanner dirt XD Its actually glitter though so it might be hard to get off.

Well I know that different people sketch different ways. XD Some are just more neat and lean in their drawings. XD
Those cleaners for screens and phones work very well for scanners. It's what I use. eue

I never cease to be amazed by your anatomy skills and attention to detail. Most notably with your wing detail - and here I think it's really interesting and unique to give a base humanoid character the upper body/shoulder structure of a more quadrupedal animal with the narrower/deeper ribcage and upper arm structure!

If you like these types of commissions, I may have to commission you for a series of pieces/characters. I don't have any visual references, but I'm very descriptive.

Awe man I do love these types of commissions, but I just closed my commissions for a while. Sorry! ;o; I literally just finished my to-do list for the first time since like 2007 (this commission was the final one haha). I hope to reopen in late 2015
