DescriptionTitle of a song that I am listening to right now from the Halo 4 soundtrack but I suppose it fits this drawing since it depicts a character from the owner's past account.Recently, the hard drive in my PC died and even though I had backed up my files relatively recently, there was a work in process PSD that was lost. I was going to have to paint over a small web-saved JPEG of the image, but ElectricFangs recommended that I try putting my hard drive in the freezer. By following Fang's advise, I was able to recover my data and continue working on the picture!
I draw this picture of Fang's character in thanks for helping me continue working on my drawing. ♥ Putting this into the Traditional Art category because most of the time spent here was on the pencil line art.

I like the fact that this pose is not one where the power output is at its maximum xD for example all comics when you see people get punched and teeth flying, this pose is in the middle power poses from what I can see, and I like that

Halo 4 soundtrack is one of my favorites in the series, along with Halo 2 and Halo Reach. I was disappointed at first when the usual theme wasn't there, but after playing through the campaign and the Spartan Ops, I decided that Neil Davidge is a very worthy successor to the Halo music heritage.

I agree. I think Neil Davidge did a great job of creating a new Halo feeling (hopefully it will remain throughout the trilogy) without completely scrapping the old one. While I just love Martin O'Donnell's music, I don't think it would have suited the Halo 4 environment.
I was alright with the Halo 2 soundtrack but I felt like that game was super rushed and I was disappointed that there were so many songs from other bands on there and some remixes that were really only sorta ok. Halo 2 and Halo reach were actually my two least favorite Halo games xD In fact, I didn't even finish Reach because it made me so mad.

I prefer Halo 2 soundtrack volume 2 over volume 1 (vol. 1 was the disc with all the nonsensical 'music' added in). The first volume felt really clipped to me, and I agree in that the random extra music from the other artists wasn't a good addition. Blech!
I liked Halo Reach because for me it was one of the more emotional installments in the series, showing how the human race was (is?) so outclassed by the Covenant. There are a couple of plot holes that are left unfilled, however, and that's what annoyed me. Halo ODST was a great installment because it was different from the standard "go here, do this" pattern of the other installments, and playing as an ODST rather than an invincible Spartan really added a welcome challenge. Halo 2 had a great story, and I wish it had been executed better, but like you said, it felt rushed. Perhaps it was limited by the technology of its time, though. I'm glad that 343 will be remastering it for XBox One; I just hope they don't ruin it.
Have you finished all the Spartan Ops episodes? I was surprised at just how intense it got, especially since all I was expecting was some objective-based scenarios not unlike PvP matches.

My sentiment is the same as yours regarding Halo 2. What makes you think 343 will ruin Halo 2? When Halo CE was remastered, it was only the graphics and sound; the actual playability of the game was not changed at all, everyone stood in the same spot and did the same things, even. 343 is Bungie, afterall, anyway. I'm just miffed that I don't own an Xbox One yet and the Master Chief Collection is going to be released before the Halo 5 Limited Edition Xbox. Guess that means I'm gonna have two Ones.
And no, I didn't play any of Spartan Ops! I don't know why, though. While Halo 4 is definitely my favorite campaign of all, its multiplayer wasn't nearly as good as Reach. It's probably just personal preference but I just hated the Spartan customization xD The designs were so dumb looking compared to the reach Spartans. And the feel of the gameplay was totally different (I'd only ever played Reach multiplayer and rocked it), so I just avoided it :c and, thus, also Spartan Ops.

I didn't mean to imply that 343 might ruin Halo 2; quite the opposite! I just meant that Halo 2 was a great part of the story and that it could have been done better originally, as though the technology used to create it the first time was too limited to really make the story amazing. I feel as though 343's remastery of it will be awesome! XD
Well if you ever do play the Spartan Ops, be sure to do it solo, or have someone over to share the XBox because for some silly reason, co-op gameplay on the Halo networks is always slow and laggy. >.< I should be sure to tell you: The Spartan Ops episodes for Halo 4 actually add a lot to the story. They're not just a bunch of Slayer or Capture the Flag matches with friends. The whole scenario takes place 6 months after the main campaign of Halo 4.
I do have to agree that the customization for Halo 4 isn't nearly as awesome as it was for Reach. But there are still a few options that I like. I'm working toward the Gungir helmet myself. XD

Purple with green is my favourite colour combination, but man, I just love seeing orange and brown together. It's so pleasing.
I always liked Shinerai's colours, btw, you pick the most delicious shades of orange.

Man, this is amazing! Especially the hairy feet and its colours, they fit very well. The neck is bend a bit strange, but hey! It's impossible to guess how much cervicals this dragon have. What a pity that the dragon is not completely visible.

Wow I've never heard about putting your hard drive in the freezer. What does that do exactly that allowed you to recover your files? :0 That's really neat! I'm so glad you recovered your work, that's absolutely one of the scariest things about being a digital artist

I feel your pain man. It wasn't my hard drive though...it was my motherboard and graphics card on my laptop.
Either way this is an awesome doodle. Its fun doing things traditiknally isn't it?

I've finally gotten to a point where I am fairly comfortable coloring digitally (of course there is always room for improvement, but I feel that I am relatively skilled). But man, Traditional coloring is so hard. I've finally started to grasp Copic markers, but I have difficulty with painting and with pencils.
