"On the other side of those hills is her love, on the other side of those hills a battle rages, and she worries."Oma must have known of the battle that killed Shu, even if she didn't know that he died.
I based this scene off a Chinese movie called "the Road Home". That is now one of my favorite movies ever, I had to draw some thing about it, and Oma seemed to fit best.
Normally, after I finish a drawing I shrink it down from its massive .psd size, but I just couldn't bear to ruin the amazing textures. It would do me great honor if you would click download and look at them too. I didn't even mean to put them there, they just appeared of their own lovely accord; I love it when that happens.

I really like the shading and it's pattern on the snowy hills. It looks natural. I also like how everything is neutral colored, except for her. She stands out which is important, but not in an over blaring way. The wind effect on her hair and dress match the grey on the ground around her. Awesome pic.
