Yes, I'm still playing with Illustrator.No, this isn't anything horribly complex or breathtaking, but I like how it came out anyway, for whatever reason, so I figured I'd share.
And I'm tired and I should be sleeping right now, but I'm not.
Edit: Good god, please full view it. It looks horrible in the preview.

I love the simplicity of this piece, the subtle use of two colours really brings out the details and i think that subtley beautiful artwork is much more impressive and quietly breathtaking than anything that shouts at you with colour and action. This is so lovely and peaceful and it takes real skill to get definition and depth and proper shape to something that is a kind of silhouette. Well done great work!

the previews here tend to mess up most vector work.
I like the white on color flat design. it's a good texhnique to be able to work with.

wow.. interesting style. Indeed. The contrast is sharp and clean not only for the limited colour but for the line work. Theres contrast but it isnt super harsh. The blue gives it a softer, airy, innocent, fanciful look.

It's so simplistic, and just free, and yet at the same time, the simplicity sets it apart. And I really lve the fact that there are no black outlines in this. That fact makes the piece all the more pretty... For some reason this piece makes me think of floating.

I love the simple and yet really smooth and beautiful lines of this pic. They flow into each other so well, and give an air of calm and quietness to the picture.
A couple of those reflections (?) on the ground remind me of those little tree sprite thingies in Princess Mononoke for some reason. Teehee.

There's some weird proportions with her neck though, seems like her neck is way too long or something is out of whack there, other than that, its a great piece of two-tone imagery.

It's all about expression. Complexity or intricacy does not always equal an evoking expressive piece. It's simple yet ever so expressive in emotion. Very nicely done, silentkitty.

Everything about this is perfect. I don't know how else to comment. Love the style, you were definitely right about the fullview; the thumbnail doesn't do it justice, and the overall ambience of the piece is so peaceful. Awesome.

i like this quite a bit. it's rather subtle. the color scheme is simple, but very effective. the linework is incredible in my opinion, even if it is not complex, just because it reminds me of a woodcut or a carving and has a different look to it than what is traditionally known as 'vector' art. stands out very well in my opinion. would make an excellent print.
