I've always wondered how a Light/Dark Giant would look like, so I decided to finally draw Solaris, an idea that has been in my mind for the longest.. *note, this drawing itself is actually like 2 months old....

Species: Pyrite Dragon

- Solaris is best described as the lumbering, scaly equivalent to a Basset Hound - lazy, yet possessing a keen sense of smell. This gigantic dragoness is quite slothful and usually spends her leisure hours either snoozing under aged corked trees or snacking on something tasty, let it be sheep or fruits (or Mabu, too - but they're more of a rare delicacy). However, do not let her laziness and foodie trait fool you - Solaris is definitely no force to be reckoned with, as she carries and ungodly amount of brute strength and clever wits.

- Solaris was not alive when the Giants were in reign - in fact, she was hatched only 500 years ago in a small yet powerful village crowded with proud Mabu. Her sole purpose was to simply guard their beautiful yet enormous castle, giving Solaris the unfortunate 'stereotypical Medieval-style castle-guarding dragon' title. She did not take too much enjoyment with this exhausting job, but it was her duty, after all.
One day, the village was under attack. Instead of saving the townsfolk, Solaris only bothered to save herself and was glad that her tedious castle-guarding days were over with for good.
As she journeyed across the vast Skylands, Solaris met a half-blind Dire Wolf who referred to himself as Noctis (I will get to him eventually - hint hint, Dark Giant OC). Despite their mass differences, as one favoured day over night, they soon became the best of buddies, and extremely overprotective of one another.
Solaris and Noctis became a haughty duo, fighting off foes and whatnot. While they never became as famous as the Giants or Swap Force, they sure did receive some recognition for their acts. While they did fight crime in the sense of justice, they as well did it because... They were bored.

- In the modern day, Solaris and Noctis encountered the Giants scouting in the Falling Forest and attacked them, seeing them as threats. However, they quickly afterward recognized them as Skylanders. While Solaris and Noctis personally did not care much about the sake of the Skylanders and preferred protecting themselves, they decided to take in Eon's offer as to make something of themselves in life.

Abilities/Attacks:

Heaven's Fireballs - Spit out an array of light-powered orbs from your wide maw.
SunDash - Become a literal essence of pure light energy and dart your way through foes.
Glitter Bomb - Rock side-to-side to shake off the natural light glitter from your wings and fins to blind enemies (explained in trivia).

Trivia:

- Her name in Latin translates to, 'Solar' or 'pertaining to the Sun'.
- Hence her species name, Pyrite Dragons, Solaris's shimmering, golden scales are made out of pure LIES. Each and every one of them are actually just fool's gold. However, they are all incredibly durable and create a gorgeous glimmer.
- Her wings and fin membranes change color depending on the time of day it is currently.
- Solaris is known for harboring 'light glitter' which is basically the aftermath of storing in too much Light-related energy, which comes from the Sun's rays.
- She is colorblind.
