This one actually came from a series of silly conversation I had with a number of friends. And on one sleepless night... this happened.
I'm really glad you like it, though. I hardly do something this explicitly cute. (Somehow, I think I still fail at creating things that are just plain cute...) So, reading your comments made me feel really good!

Don't you love how that happens? It's amusing to see what one's mind will churn out on a silly conversation and a slumber-less evening.
You did a splendid job on this. I could just reach in and pet him. I like this very much. And... really? Then I am very happy that I could do that. It makes it that much more wonderful.
So...adorable.

... in a way, I'm almost afraid of it.
To think... two usually normal co-workers can come up with something so atrociously cute over a conversation or two... ... scary, scary, scary...
I mean everything I say here. Cute really isn't my forte, so when someone comes along and tells me that I actually did something that looks cute is something special indeed. It's me trying to challenge a boundary and be told that I was successful, you know?
Petting... should be OK. Just don't touch that box, honestly... just leave the box along...👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Now, now... don't underestimate me. I've seen a -lot- of the horrors that men can dream up, sometimes in real life. Most of the so-called "horrors" in the minds of people don't compare to the real thing at all.
So... no. Perish the thought. My friends are -not- horrifying. If they are, what does that make me?
And really... thank you. You can pet him all you want.

Nothing to worry about at all!
Your support for me means that you're paying a lot of attention to me. What more can I ask?
I will not forgive you for anything, because I don't see any injury done to me at all. If there is no sin, there is nothing to forgive.

There are good people around you... good people who don't get mad so easily.

Why would they hate you? Someone as wonderful as you?
The people in my class ignore me... because I'm shy and don't talk to anyone else...
So... if you are shy, why would they notice you enough to hate you?

... and I've had sand kicked in my face by a number of girls before...
You see, most of the time, I'll advocate anyone to be true to who they are; unless, of course, who they are become a problem for themselves. It's fine to be shy, I think (especially around people of the opposite gender). However, there are different ways of being shy. It's one thing to touch everyone around you with good intentions and soft words and still be shy, or you can lash out at everyone around you, which will make you even more socially isolated.
If you ask me, I don't think you hate boys. I think you are afraid of us. While there's nothing wrong with being uncomfortable with people of the opposite gender (I know I am - I still blush like a little girl at times), there's something to be said about how you approach the problem. I think... underneath the skin... there is a "person" underneath that's beyond simply being a boy or a girl. I think the only reason why you feel comfortable around me is because you didn't know I was a boy in the beginning. When we take the gender out of the picture, we can get along just fine.
So, I don't think your peers hate you at all. I think you projected your fear - in the form of hate - onto them. You are the one who's not ready to see them for who they are. I think it's easier for you to push everyone away so you can go back into you corner and cry about "No one likes me!" or "Everybody hates me!" I don't think that's true, just as how I don't think the sky will fall on you. It's your "worst case scenario" thinking, but it doesn't have to be that way at all. I don't even think this is real "hate" at all. It's more like fear than anything - a fear of the unknown. And if you can do something about it, it's perfect OK to be shy and still be confident and feel proud of who you are.
Good luck.

First of all: let me congratulate you for putting that bad past behind you. That's not an easy thing to do, I think, and you've done marvelously well.
You're right, we live in a dangerous time in a cruel world. But that doesn't mean we have to be dangerous and cruel to the people around us, either. If we dislike it, why add on to the problem? I don't think it's a problem if you like boys or girls more (and you are right - some girls are cute...), but that's not a reason to act mean to either gender or anyone in specific. When it finally comes down to the details: protecting yourself doesn't mean lashing out at everyone else. You can play nice, but still make sure no one "steps on you".
Oh, and thank you for that comment about "I didn't really cared that much what you are". It's been a long while since anyone implied that I am an "it" or a "what" in a sentence. I almost miss that...

Nekoruf!! Awwwwwwwwww.
Too cute. The eyes, t3h cute. Gah. **laughs** Absolutely adorable, sir. And such a fluffy tail!
... Now for something a bit more intellectual, hmm? As I mentioned on another piece of yours before, I rather like how you do the folds in cloth--in this case, on the blanket/wrap he's peering out from under. As well as the vest.
And I must say, how the briefcase turned out is mightily impressive. It has a lot more dimension and shape than the original sketch did.

Greetings:
First of all, thank you for the kind comments! After all, I don't do "cute" very often... and still more rare with a subject such as this...
As to your queries: Always glad to be of help, I say.
Folds in the cloth(ing): One thing that I've learned about folds is that it's like a container with at least 4 sides, and darker in the middle. This means, in sketching them out in the first place, all of the sides need to be taken into consideration to make them look believable. Of course, sometimes not all of the sides will be visible, but they still need to be taken into consideration. (Of course, I freely confess that after a while, side-steps and short-cuts have been liberally taken by me...)
When colouring the folds, the material needs to be taken into consideration. In this case, the material is cotton based, which catches shadows where the folds are (dark on the inside). In other materials, such as leather and satin, the light will catch where the folds are (bright on the outside). I realise that this would likely sound confusing at this moment, but all it takes is some observation to see what congregates around the shadows. I use the smudge tool like a paint brush most of the time. What I would usually do is crudely colour in the places where it should be dark, and let the smudge-brush take over.
Hope this helps.

Greetings:
Why, thank you very much on the kind comments!
The Ground Hog day is something unique to North America. During the long winters, many animals go into hibernation. This includes the ground hog, a little furry mammal related to the hedge hog. The animals tend to wake up during the spring time.
So, the Ground Hog day, February 2nd, is a day when the ground hog wakes up from his long hibernation. It's said in folklore that if he wakes up, climbs out of his hole in the ground and sees his shadow, he goes back to sleep and we get 6 more weeks of winter. If he wakes up, but doesn't see his shadow, then winter'll be over soon.
Apparently, the legend came from an old Scottish adage: "If Candlemas Day is bright and clear, there'll be two winters in the year." (And Candlemas day is February 2nd, of course).
Hope this helps!
