painter8, 8hrs, no referencegloomy sciscape (dusk), stuck to what i knew best for switching to painter (not going to make a huge habit of it, but i wanted to learn the program more), too many alien options in there, figured it would be better to try and replicate what i do in ps, managed it with less bother than i thought i would have, the felt pens are pretty close to std hard rounds, and i like the blenders
tiny touchups in psCS (unsharp mask)

Breathtaking as always! There's a fabulous, convincing, sense of scale and distance here - can only marvel at the way you've skillfully orchestrated this vast landscape down to the last tiny detail. I am hugely impressed...and appropriately jealous.

This is really fantastic. I love the mood, the darkness, and how the river just emphasizes the brokenness of the rest of the scene.
