Description Finally figured out these cubes. Been wanting to for about a year or so now!
Anyhow, they're great, and I've been playing with manipulating them in all sorts of ways.

The way the cubes are arranged reminds of organic cells. The curve gives this rendering a nice effect. Great job.

I've been trying pretty hard to recreate this one. I'm close, but not right on..

Could you tell me..this isn't just a tiled cube with curl fx, is it? That yields the same basic shape, but it's no where near as clean as this. This one has a lot less stretching around the edges. But..you couldn't have placed each cube individually and then curled it, right?

I believe it's a spherical fx...but offhand I can't recall.
btw...I'm far too lazy to curl each cube individually!

Hm. With curl I have on that looks just like it, but the distortion is way off. I'll look into spherical. Thanks for the tip.

No. I had asked one chick that did the "rubik's cube" in apophysis several months ago. No response whatsoever. I asked cyberxoas if she could just point me in the right direction. No response from her. I asked plasternak when he started making them, nothing as well. Finally, I figured instead of half-hearted attempts to make cubes, I'm gonna sit down and do it for real. Within about 1 hour's time, I had it.

Like I said, it's much simpler than you think. Give it a try, if you can't get it, note me, and I'll send you params.
