And here is Molly, the youngest sibling of the Williams family.Again, this is my design for both the “younger” and “older” versions of Molly that will be appearing in the comic series I have planned, based on this wonderful fanfiction. www.fimfiction.net/story/71660…
She's kind of a hard character to talk about, as there is not a whole lot to her, either in the fanfiction or in the original show. Basically, she's there to give a little light-hearted humor.
I'm pretty sure my design for her "tweenage" self looks realistic enough. I wanted it to be charming, and relatively simple, but also true to modern life.
I also wanted to show her connection with Shady, which is alluded to in the original show a couple of times, and her affection is quickly transferred to Fluttershy in the fic.
I referenced an actual stature and weight percentile growth chart, to ensure that my choices for height and weight for both younger and older versions were realistic, and what could be considered healthy. sta.sh/027l7a1guola

No offense but if they were to bring back Megan and her sister and brother back in some shape, manner or form I'm pretty sure they would just be updated to fit G4 rather than tie them with G1 but I like the idea...

Probably. I can only hope that they don't actually do that the way they did for Tirek, and soon, the Smooze. That way, it will still seem plausible.

I don't think Megan's surname was ever mentioned in the show proper, but it seems a user by the name of "Wildshadow", on the My Little Pony Arena forum, acquired a copy of the writer's guide to the original show at an auction.
It contained the official surname of Megan and her siblings. So I guess that's pretty much canon, though it is little known.

The shirt that older Molly wears seems very modern. The original My Little Pony TV show stopped airing new episodes in 1987. Therefore, it is only reasonable to assume that with a five year difference, this fanfiction takes place in 1992. I doubt those shirts were around back then.

Aside from a few nods at the state of technology, such as Danny's audio cassette walk-man, it is not firmly established what decade the show takes place in.
Obviously it was produced in the 80s, but we need not hold it to that.
So I'm inclined to place these human characters in something of a modern setting, to make them more relatable to a contemporary audience. At any rate, they live in a rural area, so it might as well be the 80s for the most part...
