Description Here are some sketches I did of G1 ponies, drawn in more of a G4 style. I'm trying to establish my own style with the ponies.

This was mainly for practice at drawing ponies in various poses, and also to establish the "G4-ish" look and design for these G1 characters for a comic series I have planned.

I hope you like them. Critiques are welcome.

UPDATE: All G1 ponies have bows at the bases of their tails. I had forgotten a few and had to add them. Also, Galaxy is a unicorn and I had forgotten her horn. Corrections made.

PS: My favorite G1 pony is Wind Whistler, followed closely by Shady. Then Gusty... Then Fizzy..... Then Heart Throb, and then Surprise....

Actually, Nurse Sweetheart is an alternate design for the Tales character Sweetheart.  Though, I'm not sure if she ever voices her interest in nursing in the show.

Yes, I never really could find a definitive color scheme for Nurse Sweetheart, so I figured I would have to make up her design for that brief scene in the story where she appears.  But if you say she's actually Sweetheart from Tales, then that's a start.

I've found this site to be really useful for especially Euro exclusive ponies and materials (like the comic).

You should.  When I started reading the information on these sites, I learned so much more about G1 than what I saw in the show.  It's a very enlightening experience as a pony fan.

The fanfiction for which I am making these designs included G1 characters that sometimes never existed in the show, but only as toys.
