BEFORE YOU LEAP AT THE COMMENTS SECTION TO COMPLAIN TO ME ABOUT HER NAME/CUTIE MARK, READ THIS.You may be asking a question here; why does she still have Snails' cutie mark and why is she not named Spice, if she's the line that matches Snails? The thing I have about genderswapping is the cardinal rule for me; never change a ponies cutie mark. Time and time again, we've seen how important cutie marks are to ponies. They are their destinies, their talents, and their personality. Changing cutie marks, at least for me personally, is out of the question. It's not like other people have to agree with me on this, everyone does their own thing, but in the future, keep in mind that I will never mess with a cutie mark. No matter what gender the character is, I will keep their cutie mark the same. So there's that out of the way.
Secondarily, on her name, I chose to name her Sugar instead of Spice because even genderswapped, Snails could never fit any definition of spicy. Snails' name fits more with Sugar and Snips' fits more with Spice, both personality-wise and namewise.
Designwise, I cut her hoofband and shorn fetlocks, as well as giving her the model that Fluttershy had as a filly this time around.
Sugar and Spice fill a slightly different role in their portrayal, though. The focus on their clumsy stupidity is shifted, while both are still stupid, the focus is on their fangirling over Trixter, and they get their manes stuck together during 'Magic Duel', as well as in 'Ponyville Confidential', making 'Magic Duel' have a continuity nod to the prior episodes.

Well I did read it and went to the old one; I was simply asking based on MY opinion.
Most of the time when born, parents name them based on looks o family; Snails is brown in colors resembling that of Spice, whereas Snips is blue, which can be lightened to a light blue offset of white, like sugar.Β
They wouldn't have known a child's personality just based on the moment they're bornunless its very distinct, such as Fluttershy. She could've hid her face when she was born, hence the "shy", wings for "flutter"..Β
That's all I was saying. The name still would've fit perfectly.

Ok, that's at least a good point. I still prefer to call her Sugar, but at least you read it, and you've got a good point. Although I do have to say, I feel like there's something more to their names than looks, considering that Snips and Snails were named that way with no provocation to believe they'd be talented like that, or Bulk Biceps, who I guarantee didn't have massive pecs from birth.
I wasn't trying to be rude to you, it's just that I'd rather head off the questions at the pass and not get twenty different people asking the same exact question. Because that happens. A lot.

And Snips and Snails probably don't really have talents, and the writers just gave them literal CMs.. like I did with Blood Moon.
She's my ponysona, but I dont really have a talent I want for her, so I gave her a literal cutie mark instead of talent based.
