Need something to carry your bits? Here is the answer. This belt pouch measures 5 inches wide and 6 inches tall and a gusset will allow the pouch to expand to a little over 2" thick. Can easily accommodate a cell phone and still have room for an ID and the "Lady Visa" and "Master Card" or other bits. The belt loop on the back is large enough to fit up to a 2" belt and can be made larger by request. (I can make belts to order as well, just contact me for sizing.) This pouch is impressed with clockwork designs and is then finished with a rich antiqued brown dye. Every pouch is hand made to order so the designs will vary slightly making every one unique.

Also available in black.

Quick Q.
How do you get those gear patterns on there? Do you go through the whole process of transferring your pattern, cutting it the swivel knife, beveling and so on? Or do you have a different method?

They are real clock gears actually. Bought some old clock movements that were broken from an antique store and just took them apart. I wet the leather and stamp them in just like the craft stamps you can get at Tandy. Of course, these don't have nice, thick backs with a mount for a handle so I built a press to have 2 steel plates that I can put the leather in. I just wet it as usual, place the gear where I want it, and place it in the press.

I might have to try my hand at this.

Thanks. These are unisex pouches. I am working on a utility belt design, and these will be one of the components offered.

Your work is gorgeous. I use hip pouches as my main "purse" and I love how sturdy these look.

My question is: Can you do custom designs? Or designs other than gears?

Thank you. They are pretty durable, I use a heavy nylon thread in my machine. I'm not sure I would want to hang off a cliff by one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it held up...lol.

I love custom work. I can make different sizes and shapes pretty easily. The gears are stamped into the leather using real clockwork gears, but I have other stamps I can use. I can also do loads of different colors. I'd be happy to do a custom design. Let me know what you were thing of.
