Thanks so much! The Silence Glaive Ammie and her father made looked amazing! During the summer I commissioned a friend to make me a Silence Glaive for future times that I Cosplay Saturn and it's such a wicked prop. The Silence Glaive is such a cool looking weapon. :3

I agree! Though I haven't seen Sailor Moon in ages (at least not many of the episodes with the Outer Senshi), even I agree that Sailor Saturn's weapon is amazing, but I'm not quite sure how she uses it (I haven't seen her that much, so I'm sorry if I sound stupid ^^") I have to admit, the Silence Glaive is the one Sailor Moon cosplay prop that actually looks like a lifelike weapon; at least in all the Sailor Moon cosplays I've seen so far.

I haven't seen Sailor Moon in years too and I grew up watching the Sailor Moon dub which kind of cut off before S when most of the Outer Senshi were introduced so I'm not super familiar with Scouts like Saturn too. I know when I was wearing Saturn with my new staff my friends were joking that it looked like a giant can opener. XD lol Practical uses. I think the shape is really neat. (^_^)

Have you heard? As of September 2011, Sailor Moon is receiving a worldwide revival. Toei Animation now owns Sailor Moon and is planning to redub the entire anime in English for many English-speaking countries. Hopefully this dub is good, and hopefully they dub the rest of the episodes as well. The manga itself is also being reprinted and rereleased in the US as well. I really like Sailor Saturn and the fact that she's the Sailor Senshi of Destruction, mainly because of Saturn/Chronos, the king of the Titans.

Thanks for the info! I hadn't heard about a new dub but I did notice the Manga is being re-released. A new dub would really introduce a whole new generation to the series. The series has a timeless quality to it so even though animation techniques have really been updated since SM came out, I still think a lot of young people could come to appreciate the series. I do hope the dub will be good as well! The original was pretty cheesy but that's part of the fun. :3 Saturn is a pretty unique Scout with her abilities so I really appreciate her and she's quite adorable. (^^)

I definitely agree! Hopefully the new voice actors for the English dub will be great. Even though the voices were pretty annoying in the Cloverway dub of Sailor Moon (the last one with the Outer Senshi), the dialogue was decent, but the writing for the DiC dub (the first dub) was corny, yet the voices were amazing. Hopefully they will use Susan Roman again for Makoto, Katie Griffin for Rei, and Vince Corozza for Mamoru; they were about the only 3 voice actors who remained in both of the English dubs for Sailor Moon and the only ones who didn't sound as bad as everyone else. Hopefully they don't try to make the new Sailor Moon too childish like most Americans believe it is or censor it heavily.

Thanks a lot! I actually really didn't think much of Saturn until my friend Amber suggested that I be Saturn in a group. I was obsessed with Sailor Moon as my favourite Scout when I was a kid, but Saturn has really become important to me.

It's sweet that you're working on a Saturn costume for your wife. Good luck to you guys with it! It really is a blast Cosplaying from Sailor Moon. (^^)

No problem! My wife is short, naturally has long black hair about Hotaru's type, and is Asian, LOL... she's got a lot of the cards already in play for Saturn, plus she's natural quiet and shy anyways, perfect for Saturn's personality.

How lovely! It's really fun when a person shares a lot of the same traits as a character. It really makes the costume more special and also makes it easier to get into character and pose. I'm sure she'll have an awesome time Cosplaying Saturn. (^^)

I think so too, it's her 1st cosplay so it's important to get something that'd she be very comfortable in. If she gets overwhelmed with people wanting to take her pic, well... she can be shy about it and they'll think my wife is just being in character. I guess it's a win-win!

That means a lot to me! :3 Interesting comment on the legs. My legs usually seem so short. The sleek boots and fuku skirt really enhance them.

Thank you! I suppose back in the day I only ever really associated with the Inner Scouts so I never even thought about Saturn. Moon is still my all-time favourite but I have come to love Saturn. I can't thank Amber enough for making Sailor Scout Cosplay a reality for me.

I can't wait to see you as Mars and for Sakura to be Venus. It makes me so excited! :3
