A meme for the Bartimaeus Trilogy! ZOMG! Seriously, guys. This is my second favorite book series after Twilight, and they are just absolutely brilliant! The tragedy? No one knows about them. They are the most underrated series ever.

Which is a shame, because they are better than Harry Potter.

YES, I SAID IT. And I mainly say that because, while I did like Harry Potter, I never liked the explanation given for the different worlds of wizards and Muggles. So much heartache and death could have been avoided if wizards just freaking remembered how to use AK-47s. This is all I'm saying. However, in the Bartimaeus Trilogy, everything fits seamlessly together and the protagonist, Nathaniel, is DIVINELY flawed. And I haven't even gotten into how BRILLIANT Bartimaeus is as a character/narrator. GAH.

Yuppers. So if you haven't read them, read them now. If you have, YAY!

COUPLA THINGS:
-That's how I picture the imps!
-Barty is hot as Ptolemy!
-I'm not sure if it ever says that Lovelace has a ponytail, but that's how I imagine him. And with white hair, too. I'm not sure if this is accurate, as I haven't read any of the books in a year...
-HONORIUS! I really can't pick between the books because I think they are all phenomenal and have the most AWESOME CLIMAXES EVER. But I loved Honorius in The Golem's Eye. He is the most creeptastic character ever. He reminds me of No-Face from Spirited Away, only MUCH crazier.
-My favorite scene: This is at the end of Amulet of Samarkand, when Barty and Nat are trying to break into Lovelace's party. I know Bart isn't wearing his Ptolemy guise here, but... I just like drawing him like that. Anyway, it's a testament to the sad state of my mind that this is my favorite scene... And honestly, these books give off the slashiest vibes sometimes...
-KITTY! IS AWESOME!
-Jonathan Stroud is a master of plot. And on his site, you can see just how he plans everything out. And it fascinates me.
-I drew Nathaniel from Book 2, I guess, with his long greasy hair. And he's holding his awesome scrying glass of awesome.
- BART/KITTY FOREVER! Oh yay! Love those two together. I'm actually not opposed to Bart/Nat at all, though, even though I really hate slash most of the time. Like I said, the books give off slashy vibes, so I completely understand the Bart/Nat ship.
-I can't remember a lot of details about the books, but I distinctly remember Bartimaeus getting in a female guise of a girl with blond hair and glasses. Or thinking about doing it. Or something. And she may have been naked. I can't remember. Which makes me sad.

So, what I really love about these books is that they are as good as I remember them to be. Like, I read the first two, but then I wanted the last one to match when I bought it, so I waited almost two years for the third one to come out in paperback. And then I reread the first two, thinking, "Eh, it's been a while since I've read them. They probably won't be as good, or they might be too juvenile for me now." BUT THEY WEREN'T. THEY WERE EVEN MORE AWESOME.
