These are some drawings I've done for my new Ask Bartimaeus blog on Tumblr. I've wanted someone to make one of these for a long time, and finally I just decided to do it myself. It's good practice, since I've been drawing at least one new one every day. Ha, at least I don't have too much work to do right now.Go to the blog to see the questions Bart has answered so far! UGH I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH IT HURTS.

Don't worry! No one has heard of these books, which is horrible because they are so fantastic. They are the most underrated series in the world, so you shouldn't feel bad about not having heard of them.
They're books from the Bartimaeus series by Jonathan Stroud. Basically, they're set in an alternate world where magic has influenced modern society, so magicians run the government, etc. They get their power from summoning spirits to do their bidding. Bartimaeus is one such spirit, and he narrates most of the books with hilarious sarcasm and is just generally a fantastic character. The human characters are also great. The books are hilarious and heartbreaking and are excellently plotted and you should pick them up as soon as possible.

The first book is The Amulet of Samarkand, the second is The Golem's Eye, and the last one is Ptolemy's Gate. There's also a prequel/spinoff of sorts called The Ring of Solomon which is kind of its own thing.

Thanks! That means a lot! I try to keep it as in-character as possible, and sometimes I have to look up things to make sure I've got the details right. XD
