Description EDIT (12/5/15): Changed the text in the stamp; I thought how the original way it was written would confuse people.  Yes, I had to make this stamp. It was very much necessary. It irks me every time I see someone treating every identity based word as a freaking label, and are like "labels are for cans of tuna, not people". What people see as labels are how a person identifies themselves. For example, if someone "labels" themselves as "skater", "heterosexual", "American", or any other identifying word, chances are this is what they identify as. Basically what I am trying to say is that people are really taking the fact of "labeling" too seriously. If you don't share my opinion, that's fine. But I'm not changing my opinion just to please people.    Credits

Labels to an extent are fine. Such as "Gay\ bi\ het" "Emo" "Gamer girl" "Nerd" And so on. But frankly labels can get highly excessive and sometimes disrespectful to a certain group of people

Yeah and I call myself emo because that's basically what my music taste and dress sense is and I'm automatically worst than Hitler lmao

Well yeah, some labels are bad. I just mean this with the people being rabidly against labels when some of them are just identities of a person (such as sexual orientation as an example).

I think the issue with labels is when people focus on just one label exclusively. Some people don't want their identity to be thought of as just one label.

Wait, define what you mean by people focusing on just one label? Sorry to ask, but I am just extremely confused by what you mean.

I mean when people relate an individual with a particular label but no other. When a person's identity becomes defined by one label or attribute. For example Person A might be labeled as a math nerd but the fact that person has other talents or skills is ignored.

Well, that I believe is in part of human ignorance.
I know, it seems like I am justifying human ignorance on the stance of labels, but I can assure you I really am not.
But thanks for the explanation of it, though ^^

A label literally is a type of identification. All identifications are labels, and vise-versa.

Yeah, that's what I mean. They aren't two very different things like most people think them as O-o
