Keyframes by:If you've played Battleborn today then you've no doubt seen this scene.
I was privileged with the task of directing the cinematics that play in the game's story mode. This particular sequence wasn't easy to pull together, but I feel it was worth it.
It was lovingly referred to as "Walt's Tower" during production.

I was born 7/25/1968. I never developt a gaming passion growing up; I got into cartooning. So I've never played the game, but I
have watcht the video. It's great! One question: Was this video produced/made entirely in the USA? Thanks in advance.

It was made in different parts of the world. This particular sequence brought together France (for keyframe animation), India (for 3D work), and even New Zealand (for the FX animation). Storyboard, cleanup, color, and compositing were done in the U.S.
This pattern isn't consistent for every shot, but it does reflect the fact that it was a global effort that didn't lean toward any one nation outside the U.S.

I am SOOO glad I found your page! I played the Beta and my friend bought the game and told me to watch this considering I'm studying animation and this is the COOLEST thing I've seen in forever. You guys did such an awesome job. I'm so bummed it took me awhile to find the people who worked so hard on it. Did you guys animate this at 24 fps on 3's? Because I love that choppy style going on.
