The length would make it a bit unorthodox but I'm sure a master with that kind of weapon could manage to use it without much trouble.

its length isn't really that much more than a normal lightsaber so that really wouldn't be a problem. The fact that you can't use the one side and that there is a perpendicular blade on the other would probably be what made using it difficult.
