Description Finally, I can show these off. I used a few of the newer assets, plus some of the default poses, to polish up the team minis for these guys so I can finally show them off.

The Idols were the "first" superteam in modern Inglenook's history, operating from 1938 to 1966, more or less, and were formed from the workers and performers at the Idyllville Circus one night when a mechanical monster called the Sea Bishop attacked the coast of Idyllville. Their saving of the city rocketed them to stardom, and they ended up continuing on in the circus, doing press tours, performing in films and documentaries, and fighting bad guys where they could of course. They inspired tons of others to start masking up (although there had been many before) and even aligning with the Royal Protectorate, which afforded masked personas with resources and special allowances they might not have had before, and only ended when the Strongman disappeared in 1966 — but by then, most of the team had already retired and their popularity faded in favor of other teams and personas by then anyway.

Membership at founding included the Strongman, Fleetfoot, the Everlasting Girl, Azurov the Amazing, Limelighter (aka, the Emerald Flash), Buck Wilder, Grass Mask, the White Bat, Chromagon, and the Riveteer. The Riveteer isn't pictured here, but there are other members who joined later including the Mytho Man (who became Captain Mytho) and the Gentleman (who formed a team of weirdo thieves called the Gentleman's Brigade), so I might do a "peripheral lineup" post and include her there.

They're not the most iconic characters in Inglenook, but that was intentional. The inspiration was pretty obviously early super-team comics, so there's no unifying theme other than "a bunch of weirdos who teamed up and formed a family". Of these, the Strongman disappeared in 1966, Fleetfoot retired to the Hinterlands (and stars in the serial Fleetfoot's Tale, on my AO3!), the Everlasting Girl became Everlast and started working in philanthropy work with the Prosperity Foundation, Azurov joined the Legendeers with Captain Mytho and the White Bat, Emerald Flash retired to the coastal city of Cape Crown (where she renovated a theater and passed her legacy to her son, the second Emerald Flash), I'm not sure what became of Buck Wilder but he probably ended up time-travelling or something, Grass Mask moved to Blackwood Forest and went weird(er), the White Bat joined the Legendeers with Captain Mytho and Azurov, and Chromagon moved to the Chromatoll full-time to keep maintaining the color levels of the Other Realms.

And, as mentioned, the Gentleman founded the Gentleman's Brigade. I don't know what happened to the Riveteer, but so it goes.
