History:
Walter was a pretty average person when he was little, almost painfully average except for his looks. His looks were mostly inherited from his mother, so he was more feminine-looking than his peers. He was often passed over and ignored due to how he didn't fit. It was pretty lonely, but there was one thing that he got really good at: people watching. He wanted to be seen and to be heard by his peers, so he started trying to act like the people that others were noticing. He even changed up his looks slightly by dressing in more masculine clothing to take the attention away from his face. This was something that continued for quite a while during all of his elementary and middle school years. However, the last year of middle school was tough on him mentally due to hiding his real self away for so long.

In his high school years, he had gone to a completely different school than all of his other friends. The act no longer worked and he fell into quite a rut. However, there was something that the previous schools didn't have. In his second year, he signed up for the theater program. His people watching skills came in handy when it came to fitting in to certain roles. At this point, Walter had begun to figure out different archetypes of people. He had begun to love every second of the classes, but that was the only thing he liked. Being in high school, the other students were so much more judgmental of his looks. They saw through to the naturally feminine face and the wider hips he had and he was made fun of for it. Every day felt like he was in shackles until he could be someone else he wasn't. However, he wished that it didn't have to be that way.

After graduation, Walter took a year off in order to look after himself for once. There was something he wanted to change. He didn't want to be this collection of masks anymore; he was so tired of it. With the money that he had saved up all these years (and with many paychecks from his high school job), he began to try new things including yoga, meditation, and most importantly, therapy. The year off was worth it as he began to feel like weights had been lifted off of his shoulders. Getting those feelings out there to someone who was trained to listen in a neutral light was such a fantastic feeling. He had finally found himself.

Entering college was daunting even with his self care year. He had a brighter view of the things around him. It wasn't just the acting department that was kind to him; he made so many friends due to his experience that he felt like he belonged at the university. He began to vastly improve his acting skill due to support from his teachers and classmates, eventually graduating in the upper fourth of his class.

Working at a university appealed to him, so Walter went on to obtain his master's degree and apply as a teacher at the same location. As a teacher for a few years, he had found many types of people; tall, short, insecure, proud, whatever was out there. He had even made friends with a few of them there as he provided encouragement and a person to hear their troubles. However, one particular student was a very interesting case for him. The young man was small, but had a booming voice to boot. It intimidated him some, so he was always cautious when approaching. There was a day, however, where said person would book an appointment with him to talk. He eventually realized that he was always having trouble fitting into roles when his voice developed. This was new; Walter hadn't seen or heard of a case like this. He figured that there was only one thing that could help out; sharing his own experience. This seriousness surprised the student, but it made him understand the type of person he had as a teacher. The teacher promised to work extra hard with him to break him out of that shell he hated so much. It turns out that this was a great idea; he began improving by leaps and bounds. He always enjoyed seeing his students on stage, but nobody was as unique as he was in his eyes. Eventually, they became good friends even after he graduated.

It was getting more boring to him as he had no more interesting people to watch even if he enjoyed teaching. Walter resigned from his job, said his goodbyes to the students and teachers, and set out for brighter skies and new things to see.
