Description
This was drawn for an illustration course in school. Our prompt was to illustrate one or more of the operas that make up Wagner's "Ring".
I chose "Götterdämmerung" and the three Norns, because even though their part is quite small, I thought it would be interesting to try
and depict how the plot in general advances with them and their "rope of destiny".

This was originally black and white ink piece (that was the prompt) but I digitally added colors to get a better sense of light - in the original
I focused more on patterns, textures and shapes, which was fine but I think the feeling of lighting really adds to the whole piece. I did want
this to give off the feeling of a shadow theater, or just an otherwise staged performance, so the flatness is for once intentional. c-:

That pixel/knit pattern was such a chore to execute but man, I ended up liking it a lot!
