I may use this as a disturbing childrens' nursery rhyme in a street-level supernatural RPG I'm getting ready to run. If so, I think I might change one line slightly as the meter seems off when I sound it in my head. I'd make the fifth line: "There's a geriatric Shoggoth who lives beneath the stair". I hope that's okay!

I had at least too bad encounters with those things. First, when I was ten or twelve, I'd looked in a ice box containing some rotten bait and fish guts and two years ago, there was dead baby starlings in the kitchen vent.
