Description I've been drawing Fakemon since I was a kid and finally decided to take the plunge and draw a whole dex, starting with some of my old favorites. I can't particularly mimic the Sugimori style, but I figured these guys came out okay regardless. My region is based on the Great Lakes/Midwestern US rather than Florida, but manatees are my favorite animal and I can't believe we still don't have any in Pokemon, so I snuck them in here anyway lol. They will form a trio with a Water/Fire and a Fire/Grass line, all three would be fairly rare mid-game encounters.

Palmtee (Water/Grass) - Little Face Pokémon
Abilities: Thick Fat / Paddle Back* / Unaware (HA)
* Paddle Back - All multi-strike moves will only hit this Pokémon once.
Dex Entry: "This kind and sociable Pokémon originated from a southern region but migrated up a river to Midloc's great lakes. It's often seen frolicking in the water with children."
Stats: 70 / 30 / 60 / 50 / 60 / 30 (300)

Evolves into Managrove with a Leaf Stone or Water Stone

Managrove (Water/Grass) - Sea Cow Pokémon
Abilities: Thick Fat / Paddle Back / Unaware (HA)
Dex Entry: "The gentle Managrove is often struck by speedboats when paddling down the water; however, its skin is tough enough for it to withstand most hits. Some sailors have mistaken it for a small island due to the tree on its back."
Stats: 130 / 40 / 110 / 100 / 110 / 40 (530)

Based on manatees with a palm tree / mangrove motif, owing to manatees' natural habitat in Florida's mangrove forests.
