Figured I should do this: the younger form of my first full-length novel and the first tabletop character.

Before she was a knight, Bradamante grew up poor in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy during the reign of Charlemagne, under his second eldest son, Carlmon/Pepin, King of Italy. The daughter of Beatrice, a spice farmer, never had a father and was something of an outcast, not considered one of the girls for not being interested in their activities and bullied by the boys for wanting to join them (either by being ignored, avoided, or outright attacked). She didn't know why, chalking it up to her being...less traditionally feminine than the others in her village. Her only real friend was the doctor's son, the albino boy named Malagigi.

However, she was convinced by Malagigi to leave the village with him. Upon telling her mother this, shewas told the truth and everything made sense: she was the illegitimate child of the Duke Aymon of Dordone.
