The Flash, always wanted to draw this guy. I was thinking about the old tv movie they did of him. I'm sure that movie sucked but when i was a kid i remember loving it. Especially his muscle suit. Flash never looked so bad-ass.I always imagined Flash to be very slim, I don't like these muscle bound versions i see of him. Don't really make sense, I mean he's always moving so fast he has to be burning off some serious calories.
I also had this idea of his suit having an orange glow to it as if it was starting to heat up as he ran but i scrapped it last minute.
Update: Took some friendly advice and removed the logo.

I always thought his costume was reminiscent of a speed skater. The pose you have him in here does that justice very nicely.

What you saw was actually a short-lived television series, and I do remember thinking pretty much the same thing when I saw the muscle suit. Of course, that was shortly after Tim Burton's Batman film was released, so muscle suits were still synonymous with superheroes at that time. I think you're right though, about how it doesn't really work with a character like the Flash.

I've always liked him. Especially his design, so simple yet perfect. I have some more ideas i wanted work with him. One of these days.

Noice. My ONLY gripe about this piece...is that he doesn't look like he running fast enough! He looks like he's in the middle of a stumble lol. Not hatin' just statin'. Other than that, Frickin awesome color work. Love the costume, too!

Gripe taken. Hmm can't say i noticed that before, He is posed like hes getting ready to take off more than a full stride. Not proud of it but i can live with that. I really am proud of my coloring though.

Yeh this looks like he's about to take his second stride and power off into another dimension or something! I really like the pose, looks like Asafa Powell lol I prefer The Flash to look a bit more built but I can see what you said about being skinnier what with his rapid metabolism and everything, makes sense

I looked at alot of pictures of runners while doing the pic, Don't believe Powell was one of them, lmao. I liked the old bulky flash from the tv show, but I think i'll always go for the leaner physique when I draw him. But after playing DC vs mortal kombat I might just have to draw him a little more bulkier. Can't believe D.C got me to play Mortal Kombat.
Really though I prefer him being skinnier just in regards to all the bulkier heros like batman and especially superman. Blah, blah, blah....I'm ranting now. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you liked the pic.

This is very, very good. I would lose the logo, since I think it takes away from how brilliant the character work is, it's just not neccessary, but overall, I don't fave a lot of stuff and I faved this with no doubt. Good work.

I didn't see the original with the logo, but I'm glad you removed it! So many people put watermarks all over the piece and then it makes it pointless to even look. :\

I agree with the watermarks, they are annoying but I do understand why they are there. I for one don't care if anyone steals my work because well its mainly fanart and I can't really claim it for myself just sad we have to resort to watermarks. So many great pieces ruined by it. I don't use them because I hate seeing them.
The logo wasn't a watermark though, it was in the lower right corner, just didn't do the piece justice. Actually took away from it.

Thanks i have seen other artist do the whole electricity thing with him. Well to be honest i am not sure if its sparks or light blurs now that i think about it. Cool nonetheless.
