So quickly addresses why I favor conservatives over liberals, even I have had the occasional falling out. Genuineness.

Liberals talk about the death penalty because it's an issue where they can look better than conservatives to young people, otherwise they mostly ignore the prison system in America, save to make a few smart alec comments here and there and not offer any solutions. I suppose BLM was SUPPOSED to address other issues but it's mostly just outrage over the actions of beat cops.

Feminists had male and female prisoners separated to protect women- then pretty much walked away from the issue, only feigning concern in cases when a incident of rape occurs in prison where women are victims of male guards- otherwise they don't talk much about woman on woman rape or prison rape in general, which mostly has male victims. Heck the rape situation in Juvie- over 90% male vics and 90% female perps (female guards) they ain't touching that one with a fifty foot poll.

Meanwhile-

Tort reform has been a republican issue for decades, one they've fought for for a while with varying success.

Death penalty is supposed to only be given to rapists and murderers, which conservatives have generally been pretty clear about and its easy to see their reasoning.

Conservatives have often at least paid lip service to what can be done about assault and rape and conservative individuals are easily concerned about the issue. The politicians have looked similar to liberals on those issues, until recently. MRAs have joined the ranks of conservatives and won't shut up about either, pushing for a strong desire for prison reform to address both.

As to prison terms, MRAs have tried to bring that issue up too, but most conservatives are just as used to the cultural assumption that prison time has ANYTHING to do with crime as liberals.
