MMMMMMUUUUUUUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaa.......YES! THIS IS DURZA The coolest bad guy ever. I'm not the bad guy kindβa person. I'm more the hero lover, personally. I LOVE good guys! But I just have to make an exception for Durza. I think why I'm so intrigued with him is I've never seen anyone's interpretation of a Shade before.(That's what Durza is.) And so I had to make an awesomely awesome evil pic of Durza!! AAAaaand of course it's not quite as AWESOMELY AWESOME and EEEEVVILL(!!!) as I thought it would be.
oh well, I hope you all like and are in AWE OF HIS SCAREY SCAREY EVILNESS MUWHAHAHAHAHhahahahahaaa.....lol...hahaha....hehehe
This is the scene when Eragon Sees Durza in mountain....uh....I forgot what it's name is...But it's suppose to be a very dramatic scene(ONE OF MY FAVS) and they BETTER do it JUSTICE IN THE MOVIE OR PEOPLE WILL BE SEVERELY PURPLE NURPLED!! I'm a loaded gun baby!(pinch pinch)lol And here's the study intitled, Durza Study . I figured you guys would like that.

Good interpretation- it's interesting how some
peple see different scenes in comparison to the
movie.
I saw the movie first and thought it was good.
But then I read the book and realised how much
they left out. Seriously, like over half the book
is just left out!
My opinion now is the script was crap, but the
actors were good with what they were given. >.>

I am going to critique this i you dont mind.
You need to study the anatomy of his body. his shoulders are far to narrow, especialy as the armer he is wearing would add a few inches to his body. take a look, imagine his shoulders without the armor and you will find that there is baely anything there which is descidedly un-masculine and un-impressive for a big bad scary Shade, or anyone of the male persuasion.
The tiny soulders whent and conviced you to draw the rest of the body out of porportion to his head. A common error.
In gereal, the widthe of his shoulders should be three times that of his head, so
shoulder, head, shoulder

Natuarally with the armor it would be more like
shoulder, head, shoulder
-------l-----l-------
Otherwise,the anatomy isnt bad, i would just make everything alot bigger, (again, think several inches ov metal-->over clothers-->over the body) but do not increase the size of the head.
as far as colouring goes,the armor isnt bad, neither is his face but i would have done the hair in a little bit more natural a manner. Perhaps similar to the way you did his cloak.
in concl.
It is well aranged on the page, the composition of him vs the others in the pis is good. the actual drawing is good except for the above anatomical error. The colouring isnt bad, though the fact that is pencil crayon is a bit too obvious. You can see the grain of hit which means that you went a bit too quickly, try to build up the layers of tones a bit more as opposed to slapping on the exact colour you wanted. By this i mean, orange and blue paired give you a nice gray/black that would have been good on his face. Red and green as well.
On one final note. THe yellow of the hilt of his sword draws far too much attention to itself. I would have stuck with the silver of the rest of the pic, or pulled the gold thoughout the pic as to unite the image a bit more.

Love this! I was quite sad when the Urgals in the movie didn't have horns.
Anyway, I thought that Robert Carlyle played him very well. Hehe.. Just loved his voice for some reason. Anyway, this picture is like, amazing!
I really love his expression, and the armor. Love the background as well. I was like, "Oh! Must be Tronjheim(spelling...?)"
And the Urgals are awesome. xD Almost exactly like how I pictured them while reading the books. Actually, that's pretty much how I pictured Durza too.

Fathern Dur was the name of the mountain. sadly, i thought that the movie really twisted the book out of proportion and just chopped the book to pieces.
I think you did the Urgals really, REALLY, well. i thought they looked that way too. Great job on the armor and his eyes!

*L* It's the armor combined with his expression. To me, it just eminates power and just a little hint of seduction. As if his mere presence can make his enemies fall to their knees in either fear or complete awe. ^^ Whatever the case, this pic is AMAZING, and you did a splendid job.

...Of course, they completely changed the structure of Tronjheim and therefore the dramatic scene couldn't take place if it wanted to. -.-; That and they made Durza look diseased by the end of it. How stupid.

Wonderful picture! Te colors add a gloomy-doom feel to it, and Durza looks AWSOME.
The movie fucks everything up. He never meets Eragon in the mountain... he battles him on a dark-magic-dragon thing in the middle of a valley. And they made the urgals into big tattooed men.
Its nice to see an artist that does the book better justice then the movie. I give you two thumbs up :]

Hmm. I must say, this is fantastic. I love everything about it, especially Durza's facial expression.
And I'm actually pleased with his movie self, aside from his eyes - Blue?! They are clearly supposed to be red, though in the movie, they are blue...
Ah, well. I still think his movie portrayal is great. Many don't, but I do.
Anyways! Back to the art. The monsters are fantastic, and the anatomy is perfect. Instant favorite!
