The HK416, or M416, is the first unlockable assault rifle for the Assault kit in Battlefield 3, requiring 22,000 score to be unlocked. It is designed by the German arms manufacturer Heckler and Koch (hence the HK designation in most, if not, all of their products). The weapon's design pays homage to the classic AR-15 design, but rather uses a gas system normally seen on the German G36 rifles. A jack of all trades, the 416 can perform superbly in most, if not all situations.
