For *syccas-stock 's mythology contest.

Schrat is the German word for a traditional Germanic being similar to the Greek hamadryads. They are bonded to trees and defend forested areas strongly. They are generally considered good, but may become aggressive if humans are not sufficiently respectful. They are frequently the object of Wild Hunts.
