EDIT: 10 mins more due to request.. lighten on the hand and some detail.. namely the leg plate and foreleg.. i hope the pic also shows now ^_^''2.5 hour photoshop 6, PLAYED WITH CUSTOM BRUSH FOr first time!!!!!

now i know how u get such cool ass textuers... its so much like using different worn out brushes as a kid hehe.. what great fun!!!!!! now i can double my speed! yaeah!
so anyway, this started 3 hours ago... i got a note from regarding a sketch he made.. i think he might post at his page soon! It was started.. and he asked what i thought of it and what maybe i could turn out from it... what he had was a gasmask figure on a black bg.. a big head dude with stubby legs hidden under a cloak.. like a jawa ^o^ (haha i kid ;p) he was going for.. and i thought it would be cool to mix the old gasmask theme with some classical renaissance look...
The BIGGEST inspiration for this piece was the song Sleeping Sun by NIGHTWISH... such a moving piece... love it to bits!!!!!! This is my dedication as well to their famous music!

this is pimptabulously cool, man. you'd get a ribbon, but the perspective on the sword is fuckin with me. looks like it got cut-and-pasted into a different angle to fit the frame (though I'd personally like to see it straight to the left, edge down, with more negative space, but hey, that's just me).
I REALLY like how the texture and detail melts from the armor into haze by his feet. Gives this piece a wonderful, wonderful energy.
