Description
This is a pic inspired by how I'd like the series of Inuyasha to end. The Shikon no Tama is whole and purified, Inuyasha is at peace with his dual nature, and he and Kagome go off into the sunset and live happily ever after. ^_^It was only after I drew the whole pic that I realized Inuyasha is holding his sword on the wrong side (he's right-handed). I could have easily fixed it by just flipping the picture, but my American mindset insists that if they're facing the other way, they're looking off into the past, and not the future. Weird, eh? ^_^; So the reason his sword is on the wrong side is because he moved it there so that he could hold hands with Kagome. ^_~

Hm. Β I read the entire manga from beginning to end, and Kagome never turned into a half demon that I saw. Β Sounds like an interesting idea for a fanfic, though.

I drew this picture a little over five years before the manga ended its run in Japan. Not bad, considering the fact that I drew this when both Naraku and Kikyou were alive and going strong. And while I might not have predicted the very end with complete accuracy (Kagome should be wearing miko clothing, for example), I am pleased that Inuyasha and Kagome got their happily-ever-after.

It's no problem; I'm just baffled as to why you would assume from my 9 year old fanart that I had not read the manga nor seen the Final Act, when I've done both, and right when they were released in Japan. So in case you are still concerned on that account: Yes, I have read the complete manga - in the original Japanese, even - and have seen the anime Final Act. So rest easy on my account.

Ok, i knew you drew it more years ago. I just corrected since the manga and the anime ended with the Final Act season, where you can see how it's ended. I just warned about it you in positive mode, i hope it's no problem. I don't know did you read, or watched the Final Act, or not yet. So if you didn't read, didn't watched it, just do it!

Kikyo was never really alive. She was an artificially animated shell, given life by a demon with a piece of Kagome's soul (which gave the Kikyo-golem her spiritual power), and who maintained her existence by stealing souls from other people. The real Kikyo died shortly after she sealed Inuyasha, and her soul was reincarnated into Kagome hundreds of years later. So in a sense, Kagome is the real Kikyo, and and the true essence of the girl Inuyasha loved in the past and present. The reanimated Kikyo was a false travesty and a distraction.

okeeeey... O.o but kagoch nicer than kikyo was, and kikyo never said thank you to kagome! It was all like "of course she knows i'm grateful!" kagome deserve inuyasha more. But i must add, that kikyo has a lonly past, and the love story between her and inuyasha is a sad story! -.-
