After the beach Fennel and Honey decided to go hunting for a rumored cave hidden away in the forest surrounding Wynsiph. While Honey took to the skies, Fennel traveled low searching where she could not cover. During his venture he came across a riverbed that he had previously found in the summer, only it was swollen with water. Now that it was winter it seemed to of taken a turn and become bone dry. Taking the opportunity, the quad leaped down into the bed of silt and river stones to resume his search.

As he wandered along Fennel practiced some magic with a focus on dowsing. Following the various sensations he eventually found the location of a cave that had a strong hint of water. Feeling proud, perhaps even a bit smug, he called out to Honey hoping that she could hear
