Another of my encaustic-wax pictures.This time I've its a gathering of all kinds of sea-creatures.

The techique I used to draw this pictures is called encaustic (from the greec word for branding) and it's made by basically ironing hot molten colorful wax onto a special sealed paper card. If you want to know more about the technique just take a look here : [link]

I do not have too much time <
I've a fulltime job + 14 chinchillas to take care of +
many hobby's. But I'm often staying up very late
2-3 o clock at night and luckily drawing wax-pictures can
be done rather efficient + quickly. Not need for extra
coloring cause the color is allready included *grin*
This pic was rather comlicated to create though. Took me
at least 3 hours. But normally I don't need as much time.
That's another reason why I like this art-technique with
it's instant quick results.

Yes the wax is molten and applied to a special coated paper card with an iron.
