heh...Well I hope this'll jump out at you a lil bit...lol
I spent the whole night and most of this afternoon finishin this
started on it at 11 or 12 last night to 'bout 6 this morning then finished it from 2 - 4 this afternoon
So I took some time on this one..lol
Note: Full view is a must!!!! but beware...for those who have less than cable might take awile though...sorry
Think I should make a wallpaper version of this?

OMG... this is so beautiful... this does give such a meaning of it's name Tranquility.. makes me wanna just drop everything and go there ^-^. This is a great piece of artwork you have here. It is getting more and more impressing with each piece of work you submit.

So it shows that I dont think it to be that much of a deal...since it does just about all the work for ya(but I dont know how to make this kind of stuff in other progs..like bryce and alll...well...to look good anyway...lol

nice job dude, good stuff, although some points. how many surfaces for the terrain did you use? i think a little more complexity would be cool. The only other real thing is the flares and reflection off the planet, considering the strength of the flares, especially the one directly above, perhaps you could add a stronger shine in that area. In any case, the planet is superb, and i very much like the backing space dust to the left of it, although not as keen on the top right. Still, very nice work dude, keep it up

Yeah I did a too simple on the terrain itself(its the default color, even though its white cuz of changes in the atmophere section) I was just workin with what that gut was doin in his tut on how to make a planet in terragen and messed with it to find out what he did wrong(on why it wouldnt come out the why he though everone's would when they used his tut)
And the planet flare...It was test I was tryin to do...ya know if you've seen a 3dsmax planet where you see the sun's reflection in the sea...but it messed with the clouds though...lol

The highlighting on the right side of the planet is a bit strong, and the lensflare are overly numerous--but I like it. Especially the left side, the starfield is very well done there. good work.

Wow, that is NICE. Great lighting effects and attention to detail. The mountains are an added bonus as well, although you'd think with 2 planets so close to each other, they'd be wacking each other's gravitational fields.
