Description This is probably one of my most detail pieces to date. The Photoshop file is over 785 M and I don't even know how many layers... but that was only for the foreground... the Background was over 690 M on a separate file.

I had setbacks with this piece, but I think it came out nicely. The character is Master Ben Massing and is played by ~Seriacles in #JediOrder .

Thanks to ~concept-on-mac for his tutorials and brushes. It helps me out alot and makes things alot easier and faster especially on the background and the textures on the clothing.

Sure man I am all about sharing techniques man, check out ~concept-on-mac he's the one that inspired me to make decent BG's with the use of brushes. In his gallery he's got a series of brushes for down load, all you have to do is use winzip after downloading them from the deviation and add them into the photoshop programs folder> presets>brushes. You then load them when the application is open. Most of the brushes you find here on dA are for CS and up. Some work for 7, but not many. *redheadstock has a great gallery filled with various brushes for PS 7 and up. If those guys don't have what you are looking for, you can use the dA search for "Photoshop brushes" and you'll get a butt load to choose from.

If you need some tutorials, ~concept-on-mac has a few both as a deviation and on youtube for speed painting.

Thanks lol I think I am going to upload the BG as it's own piece here on dA. And I am also going to be doing alot more of them, since I have been inspired from playing Mass Effect.

Thanks! Yea I drew the lines traditionally (without a ruff sketch for a BG) made them their own layer set along with the colors. The background was made in a different file, then flattened and dragged to the final layer in the Lineart file. I had to do it that way or my poor computer would crash with a file over 1000 M

One of the reasons why I am getting an alienware in the next 4-5 months.

Indeed, I think they are still superior despite Dell gobbling them up into their corporate machine. Not to mention they look wicked cool too, especially compared to the Dell XPS

indeed you guys have... but I am still uhhh- not fond of the thing xD it's too confusing to me since I have been a windows brat for over 10 years the whole apple key and no right click makes me lost... even though I know it's easy to get a new mouse and there are skins/guis? to make the desktop like windows. I just don't want to go through the hassle.
