Water manipulation is fascinating, because it's hard to make it look real. This looks very real. Even more impressive is the creation of a maelstrom combined with a waterspout, which intensifies the effect. The inclusion of lightning bolts and flying debris around the waterspout is a great final touch.
The larger the cataclysm, the greater its visual impact. The common practice used here is the presence of large ships as a comparison of size. This has further increased the image's impact, especially with what appears to be a battleship about to be drawn into the maelstrom.
(One question. Is that an Iowa class battleship heading into the maelstrom? If so, it looks somewhat small compared to the carrier nearby, which I presume is a Nimitz class. If not, don't worry about this. It is a general point to remember that when representing actual things, like ships, to have the dimensions correct, otherwise the suspension of disbelief, (that the image can somehow be real) is spoiled).
The image's detail is fantastic. The ships have clear, well defined outlines, down to the aircraft lined up on the carrier's deck. The forest in the background is very well defined, (too many background forests I've seen look like collections of blotchy shapes). The individual trees in the foreground are well-detailed, as is the scientific installation. The stormy sky is a great overall finish, consistent with the mood of an impending catastrophe. I particularly liked the image of the flock of birds appearing to fly towards the calmer east, (sensible creatures leaving as quickly as possible the scene of man's stupidity).
Overall, a very impressive image.

I located the image I used offsite here...

I did not steal anything here nor would I.Β
Now that I am aware of the actual creator of the artwork, I have given credit.Β
Again, I never claimed at any point the image was my own.

hi. Both of this versions of picture are mine. No problem with credits - i know it's hard sometime to locate author of art. And even worse some one steals art, makes they own watermark, then some one else steals already stolen and then you cant deside who's real creator. Good luck!

I absolutely love this art work. It reminds me of a card from magic the gathering "Cyclonic Rift"
In my comparison, I noticed that someone already made a proxy artwork card with your artwork.Β
It states "Not for Sale" on the bottom, but they should have given you credit as the artist.Β
