This is what I've been working on for a while now lately. It's a Transformers fanart of Seeker!Will Lennox and Ironhide from sorciere's lovely fanfiction Trials of a Seeker. You should go read it! [link] Will Lennox got killed, turned into a giant robot, and everything went downhill from there.
This is from the scene in Chapter 5 where gruff old Ironhide tries to comfort Will. It made me squee. I love them giant robots.
Notes:
-My first attempt at drawing robots! X3 Was nearly impossible to find a pic of Ironhide from the back so I had to make shit up. Will is loosely based on Starscream (of course.)
-For some reason I decided they were on the deck of an aircraft carrier even though that was never depicted in the fic. Hey, I'm sure there's a bunch of those hanging around Diego Garcia! It seems like a good place to train, anyway.
-NEST has too many symbols and the one from the movie was kinda plain, so I made my own by combining them. Also, Autobot red did not suit the color scheme at all, so there.
-I couldn't figure out what to name it until my ipod suggested this title. I was listening to "The Promise" by Seabound---the lyrics are ridiculously appropriate. www.seabound.de/lyricsgr.html#PROM

This is...gorgeous. So beautiful. It has the feeling of a moment that makes you want to hold your breath, as if that'll keep it from slipping away faster than you want to let go.

But don't give up on drawing giant robots! This was my first try and it took me FOREVER. Like, probably 20+ hours total work, most artists could do it in a quarter of the time XD It just takes time o_o

I still love the pic, I still love the story and I am STILL three chapters behind reading because of my damn real life interfering all the time. ;_; I admit I have some small time here and there where I COULD read, but since I love the story so much I want to give feedback to EVERY chapter I read and sadly to read AND give feedback I just don't have enough time and will most of these days. *sighs* Your pic now showing up on TransformSlash just reminded me that I should really try to catch up this weekend. I still love you for sharing this beautiful scene with all of us. ^^ Are you still planing to draw more for the story or is real life and lacking motivation interfering with your life as well? *curious*

I'll be honest, I hadn't been reading it for a while and just now got caught up. I've been trying to avoid the TF fandom because it's so braineaty, and I've actually been WRITING in my other fandoms (Chuck, White Collar, NCIS) so I don't want to get distracted. And I haven't commented because...well...I still wanna know what happens and I enjoy it, but I'm wondering where it's going? If anywhere? I think it would be improved now by a little foreshadowing or hint of a future direction, but leaving concrit on a kinkmeme fic seems kind of rude.
However! The fic has given me a lot of joy and I still have one more in-progress fanart for it sitting on my desktop (it's of Will being examined by Ratchet after his first Mach 2-exceeding flight.) Someday I want to finish it, but I've been in such a creative slump lately I haven't worked on much, so I can't make any promises as to when.

*groans* I know the situation, kind of. I myself can only stay in one fandom at time. Okay, sometimes I read some fanfics from different fandoms, but I can only write for one and usually that would be the one where I read most fanfics. *sighs* It's sad, really. I already envy you for being able to write for three fandoms at the same time. XD
*snickers* I have to say for me the story has more serious moments though also a lot of funny ones but I am still waiting for something serious to happen between Will and 'Hide. XD Okay I still need to read three chapters and I am looking forward if the time for a bit more smut has finally come. XD Gah, getting off topic here. *coughs*
Oh I hope that you will be able to draw out that fanart, since I loved that scene. Hell I love all the Ratch'/Will moments as well as 'Hide/Will. And lets not forget about Sarah. Damn if she hasn't a real bad Seeker attitude. XD But I love her anyway. ^^ Well, I am off now, nearly time for work. Maybe tonight I will finally catch up with my reading. Really need to or I end up being spoiled some day by something I see from a fellow fan or something like that.
Oh and of course you are welcome. I love your art after all. Say, could I maybe use it for my magazine. I am have to do one for a schools project. I think we will get one exemplar printed out for ourselves in the end but besides that the only one who will see it might be me fellow members of the project and our project manager. It will not be something sold our such, since the magazine is about myself and I am not thaaaaaaat interesting anyway. XD I've been playing around with the idea to include 'Trials of a Seeker' for some time now, especially since I can't get hold of another author from a different story which I wanted to include into my magazine. Anyway so far I took an excerpt of a fanfic together with a fanart, so only those would fit. And all with permission of author and artist of course. Ah and when I am done with the article I can of course send you an pdf to show you the result. Would be nice if I could use your art. ^^

Yeah, I'm usually a one-fandom sort of girl, myself. Somehow with my TV fandoms, it's easier to be involved with more than one at a time (especially since they share some similarities.) Still, only my Chuck fic has been getting finished enough to post online XD Also, if you're waiting for more Will/Hide...you should get caught up...just sayin'!

Hehehe, I thought so already. The last chapter I read was more or less the first part of two and it was left open. XD So, I already suspect more 'Hide/Will action. XD Nya, I fear I might be too tired today, just got home from work, was not really fun. *sighs*
*snickers* That's why I go with requests instead of trying to draw them myself. XD Nya, seriously, I am not good at drawing anyway, so when I thought about my magazine I realised if I use fanfic excerpts together with fanarts, I need to do the same with my own fanfic excerpt (since I write and my project manager asked that I post some self written as well). The best I had to offer at that moment was some Transformer fanfic I started though and I couldn't really not draw something for that. Therefore I dared to ask one of my favourite artist and she did draw something indeed. I was so happy with her and with the pic. It was just beautiful. *sighs in happyness* Well, I look up to you for being able to draw the way you do, because it looks really well, even if it might be challenging.
Thanks for that kind of permission. This works just well with me because without Sorcieres permission for using her fic it would not have been possible to use your art anyway. ^^ And, damn me for forgetting. Of course I will give you credit and I can do it the way you said for sure. I will show you the result when it's done then and you can tell me if you want something different and such. ^^
Yes, it is an interesting project and while it is also fun, it's of course lot's of work, too. Have to come up with a layout for each page. *groans* Not fun at all. But to brainstorm and all, just imagining how things are supposed to look, well I like that. ^^

That's really cool that she illustrated your fanfic. :3 But I want to encourage you to add some of your own drawings to the project too! Even if it's not perfect, every time you draw you get a little better, I say!

Ah well, I was thinking of adding an article for fanart but... that will be too much. Therefore I stay with everything else and nearly all articles have something of me in it anyway. Just mostly where I have more talents. And I say that my talents are better with writing and photography. So that's where I add my own work. ^^ I have not drawn for such a long time, I think it would just be strange to add something so very old. Still thanks for the kind words. ^^ And I agree with practise everything gets better. Just don't have the time to practise. *coughs*
