Heavily armed and heavily protected the banshee can unleash havoc with multiple high yield mass drivers and multiple point defense guns the Banshee is the equivalent in firepower to a small corvette but maneuvers more like a heavy fighter.

Intended to support capital ships and break though screening frigates and corvettes the banshee is rugged enough to survive multiple hits from fighters and defensive guns but it is not suited to engaging fighters and interceptors requiring it to have an escort to penetrate enemy fighter screen to reach its primary targets.

The massive firepower of the banshee comes at a cost. despite its overpowered drives, multi vector thrust system and pilot assist software the gunship lacks the maneuverability of a true fighter it can quite easily outmaneuver corvettes and frigates and bring its weapons to bear with lethal accuracy as well as match most equivalent strike craft.
