Does the bus line stop or would you just rather not ride the bus in the dark?

KV-Arts In reply to WDWParksGal [2008-05-30 22:35:05 +0000 UTC]

rather not ride in the dark alone. The streets I have to take are not the best to be on alone at night

Cannot say I blame you one bit. I do not feel safe even walking my neighborhood at night any more. Used to all the time but it seems like things can get crazy at night.

yep.. a few years ago it leaked out that the authorities were placing sex offenders and such in the hotels/motels around the Disney Resort because of space issues >< Plus we have prostitutes and gangs. They like to tall the walls around my neighborhood

Oh, my God. That would scare the crap out of me! Where Tina lived in Columbus, she lived in the downtown area, which is beautiful and fancy but hookers came out at night and there are bums who beg all the time. Guess there cannot be one without the other unless you live and work in the suburbs!

yep. i see a good amount of homeless guys walking the streets, sitting by the off ramps, and sleeping under the freeway bridges.

I would really like to go back to Paris one day, especially to see Disneyland Paris. I don't even have a current passport so I cannot even get into Canada or Mexico, let alone go overseas. One of these days....

My boyfriend and I are in love with theme parks, especially rollercoasters. We said, when we've seen everything in Europe, we'll go overseas, to the rollercoasterparadise

And of course, to Disney World, that's one of our dreams. My boyfriend even talks about marrying their, but I guess that would be a bit to expensive But we'd also love to see city's like Florida, LA, New York, or one of those miracles like the Nigeria Waterfalls or that big canyon... ah well, I even haven't seen everything of my country and it's so tiny!!

Yes, all those places you mentioned are way apart from each other. I live 3 1/2 hours from Niagara and haven't been there in years. Now I need a passport to go onto the Canadian side of the falls, which are a better view. You can marry at Disney as you can have an inexpensive wedding at one of the resorts. You would get a lot better exchange between the Euro and the dollar as the dollar is weak. I think a resort wedding would be lovely!

Walt Disney World is 1100 miles from me and The Grand Canyon is probably a three-day drive ~ the country is huge. There is SO much I still want to see in the US. When you come to the US you HAVE to go to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio (updates on screamscape [link] about Cedar Point and theme parks all over the world), which is the Roller Coaster Capital of the World. There are at least fourteen there

Hehe, yes, I've heard of Cedar Point before
It really is a shame that all those beautiful things are so far away, luckely I love traveling Going to Disneyland Paris is a three hours drive, but we often do it And we also have that superfast train: TGV. Then it's two hours and a half, but quit expensive :s But I must say, for my young age I've allready seen a lot. Went to Amsterdam (Netherlands), to the big cities of my own country, Paris, and other famous places at France, Monaco, travelled a bit through Spain and Italy, went to Rome over there. Went to London, and in my senior year at high school we travelled a bit through the Czech Republic. Oh, and since I have family living in Germany, we went over there aswell a few times. We really don't care all the driving and stuff, though it's getting more and more expensive. One year ago even the plains were more cheaper, but with prices going high of gas and such it's really getting crazy over here. You see people more and more going by bike now

The gas prices are insane. At $4 a gallon for as much as Americans commute back and forth to work it means cutting back on food or medication. diesel for the trucks is $5 a gallon so the prices at the grocery store are going up as well. Why oil is traded on the stock market as a commodity I have no idea but it is affecting the whole world. There isn't much in the way of public transportation in most areas of the US and trains are limited and slow. Using a bike isn't really an option as most everyone drives dozens of miles to work. My husband drives 2 or 3 hundred miles a day, sometimes more. Truck and SUV sales are off and GM is closing four plants, laying off a staggering amount of people. All anyone can do is hope the price of oil goes down.

You are fortunate to be able to travel from country to country so readily. I suppose it is like going from state to state here. If I was only three hours from Walt Disney World instead of twenty I'd probably go every other month !!
