QUILT PROJECT AT #DisneyDreamersNow for something completely different.... quilt made from the same expression.... `Arete-Eirene-Phile got the idea when she saw a tee-hee emoticon and the concept was born. The journal is here ~ [link] ~ with the rules and the participating entries. It is a hoot!

I made several quilt pieces last year but only the one this year. Not sure if I'll get the time to make any more. I'm working on my "Secret Santa" gift for #DisneyDreamers now and running a contest on dA called "Room for the Holidays" about decorating a room and writing articles. Just too much to do on dA these days!!

I agree.... love the old time villains. My mother used to tell us how she took two of my older siblings to see a Disney movie when it first came out (think it was "Sleeping Beauty") and she had to take my brother out of the threatre because he was screaming from fear. He was probably 3-years old at the time.... now he's 65

Ah that would've been Malificent, the Mistress of All Evil! Now she was a villainess with some attitude. If I remember Thomas, Cleworth and Johnston had a field day designing her. The 2d animators of the day loved designing the villains because they literally could go all melodramatic and vaudevillean -- not so with the other characters.

her name is not snow queen, her name is queen grimhilde... snow queen is still in development my friend

Just to let you know, cast members refer to Grimhilde as "Snow Queen" when getting the costumes ready for parades and shows. The costumers get out the costumes for "Snow White" and "Snow Queen" as she is referred to. It has nothing to do with her actual name, which I know, but how she is commonly referred to by the cast members.

I would think so.... otherwise it would get confusing. I only know cast members call Grimhilde Snow Queen is because my daughter worked in costuming for three years.

I agree. I much prefer the animated features over the live-action. I can watch animated films over and over without getting sick of them.
