Description
Based on "A song of ice and fire" by George R. R. Martin (TV "Game of Thrones").Gel pen on paper 35x50cm. Coloured version soon.
I want to make more illustrations connected with books, with not necessarily my fav characters (but those too, I think..).

Great composition, great execution as always.Β This might seem trivial, but I love the way you've done the leaves, with the white edges and veins, and the rest shaded.Β Very effective technique.

Β It's just pen used for writing, but with better ink (or something) than regular ballpoint pen. Wikipedia explains this better than me, haha: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gel_pen

Actually, in most of my black and white work I use dip pen and ink, but all of my nibs were damaged somehow, so this time I switched to gel pen. I used to draw a lot with black gel pens as a teen, so it was nice to try it again and easier to achieve more grey values.
Gel pens are great for drawing!
